A vacuum cleaner is a device that sucks up the dirt from the surface of the floor or any other object. When we talk about normal vacuum cleaners they are generally operated using electricity. The older versions of vacuum cleaners had a washable cloth bag attached to the handle which was used to store all the sucked up dirt particles and once it was full you emptied it and used it again. Then strong paper vacuum cleaner bags were introduced but they require replacement with a new bag when full.
Today you can also find bag-less cleaners that have a plastic container instead of a bag which you can empty, wipe clean and never have to replace. They have a dirt chamber which can be dumped into the trash once full. They also come with air filters which help to clean the air while vacuuming. However the filter needs to be changed every six months or as per the directions and the frequency of usage.
Over the years new technological features have revolutionized many appliances including vacuum cleaners. With so many attachments it has became much easier to clean up places which otherwise was hard to reach. The long handle nozzles and brushes make cleaning high up places, tight corners much more easy.
Most houses today are fully carpeted and a good cleaner is a necessity to keep a clean and hygienic environment. If you have small children at home then it becomes more important that you invest in a good quality vacuum cleaner. Also if you have pets at home then getting out those stubborn hairs from the carpet becomes very important. You can find a wide range of vacuum cleaners on the market today, manufactured in a variety of styles, models and brands.
My favourite is a new type of vacuum cleaner that is gaining in popularity and I’m not surprised. The machine is considered to be a small robot which just by a click of a button takes up the cleaning mission around your home. You do not have to guide or monitor it because it has small sensors attached to it which can sense any obstruction or obstacle and it turns around to move in another direction. If yours is a busy household, or if like me you don’t enjoy vacuuming you can set the cleaning timer and the machine automatically runs at the scheduled time.
This self operating vacuum cleaner cleans better than you would expect. However you are required to use a normal cleaner occasionally, in order to deeply clean the house and get into those tight corners. Changing the dirt receptor occasionally is also required as it will not pick up debris once it is full. This type of vacuum cleaner is a bit more expensive than the usual type of cleaners but for those who have a time constraint it can be a good option to live in a clean house without having to spend hours vacuuming.
When you are deciding on a model of vacuum cleaner to buy, there are two important things to consider. First is the strength of the suction and second, how clean it leaves the floor. If you can find one which also has an air filter and is within your budget then that will be a great buy.
